A dual citizen of Canada and the US, Tara has been performing on both sides of the border, as well as internationally for over 15 years. Recognized among her peers as a gifted dramatic and character actor and singer, Tara has entertained audiences in musical and non-musical theatre alike and is passionate about all aspects of sharing the story, whether on stage or screen.
Selected stage credits include Diana in Next to Normal, performed at the Centaur Theatre with BCT, Penny in Pool (No Water), directed by Gordon McCall, Linda in Wife Begins at Forty with Hudson Village Theatre Company, directed by Glen Bowser, Gidion’s Knot (Heather) with Waterworks Company, Into The Woods (Witch) , Enchanted April (Lady Caroline Bramble), Gefilte Fish Chronicles (Goldie), Sins of the Mother (Theresa), Separate Tables (Jean Tanner). Selected Film and Television credits include Poison (Bright Young Things), Need (Negative Zero) and Quantico (ABC, directed by Stephen Kay).
Tara studies acting at Straeon Acting Studios with Jock MacDonald and Isabel Farias, studied voice at Concordia University with Beverly McGuire, and currently studies voice with Elizabeth Koch. Tara has attended master classes and workshops with numerous professionals including Micheline Chevrier and Alice Ripley, and intensive scene study and coaching with Gordon McCall.
